Homewood Suites by Hilton Tucson/St. Philip's Plaza University

I stayed at this location for 60 days, and I really enjoyed my time. The hotel is well maintained, and the staff really try and keep everything clean and organized. Parking is a little hard on Friday and weekends due to local shopping outlets. Food for breakfast and happy hour could be better. Breakfast was pretty basic and happy hour, they have salad, bread, and soup with beer and wine. It's a pet friendly hotel . I love pets, but they need to remind guest to clean up behind their pets.I will stay at this location again mainly because the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton with my family, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. While the staff was friendly, that was the only positive aspect of our stay. The extra bed in the living room was in a terrible condition - dirty and extremely uncomfortable. We were supposed to have a comfortable sofa bed for our kids, but it was far from it. To make matters worse, when we called for fresh bedsheets and bedding, we were told it was too late, even though it was before the specified time. They argued about it and never provided the service we requested. We were also given a limited number of fresh towels, which was not ideal for a family of four. Overall, our stay was marred by the poor condition of the extra bed, unresponsive service, and limited amenities. While the staff was friendly, it didn't make up for the uncomfortable stay. Unfortunately, I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I like this hotel I like how clean it is and it has a nice breakfast. One caveat is if you stay in the dog section the halls do have an odor so keep that in mind. (Pet owners: do better!) And on Sunday mornings they have a farmers market that blasts music so if you're facing that area on the northwest side keep that in mind and try to get a room facing the pool on Saturday night

I stayed here for 3 nights on a work trip in November 2023, on the 3rd floor. This extended-stay hotel has some really thoughtful details, environmentally-friendly options, and an ideal location. What I loved: -Ceiling fan in the bedroom! I don't believe I have ever had one in a hotel in the U.S. -Upscale location - walk to a handful of excellent restaurants, a Trader Joe's (especially great because there is a full kitchenette in the rooms) and the Rillito Trails - miles of paved walking/running/biking trails along a wash. -Pet-friendly - bonus points for having pet items in the commissary area. -Ample parking --including for vehicles pulling trailers and/or RVs. -Clean rooms, common areas, and grounds. -Green initiatives including recycling bins in the rooms, and no single-use toiletries. -Very soft sheets! What could use some work: -I'm not sure the air filters in my room had ever been changed - dust/debris was extending beyond the return grilles. -3rd floor ceilings desperately need attention - there were multiple drywall patches, drywall seams, and other flaws that made the property feel unkempt. -There was not a dispenser for drinking water/refillable bottles. With the other green initiatives, I was surprised Hilton has not installed a fountain yet. There was a Tupperware pitcher in the dining area with water, however it is emptied fast. -Some of the furnishings are showing their age - note the bowing in the mattress. Overall, this was a clean and convenient extended-stay property. Breakfast is included, and please keep in mind it's not a Denny's - what is put out is what you get that day. I overheard a gentleman being a bit rude to staff as there were no "Scrambled eggs", only cheese omelettes, one morning. Beautiful views of mountains to the north and direct access to the Rillito Trail were pleasant surprises. I would stay here again - the positives outweigh the negatives.
